The Empire State rebounded nicely in both total mobile NY sports betting handle and Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) as official weekly figures for the week ending Nov. 6 were released by the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC) on Thursday.

Total mobile handle exceeded $300 million for the seventh consecutive week, posting at more than $353.29 million, a nice increase of nearly $8 million from the last weekly report.

Handle has been over $300 million for eight of the last nine weeks and for the 24th time since legalized sports wagering launched earlier this year.

Total GGR for the state posted at more than $39.1 million, a solid increase of more than $5.17 million from the week before. The number also marked the highest GGR since $42.97 million was posted for the week ending Oct. 9.

Official monthly figures for October also were released Thursday. The total handle for the month was impressive, more than $1.543 billion. The handle for September was back above $1 billion after slower summer months.

Mobile wagering certainly has provided advantageous weekly revenue for the state over the past 10 months, this week posting more than $19.9 million in taxes to Albany.

NY betting apps are taxed at 51%, tied for the highest in the land with New Hampshire.
