Saquon Barkley Next Team Odds; Potential Free Agent Destinations
Fact Checked by Pat McLoone

The clock is ticking toward the NFL free agency deadline and the New York Giants have not locked up Saquon Barkley.

Barkley has said consistently that he wants to end his career with the New York Giants, but the reality of the NFL is that it just might not be feasible for him to do so. If the Giants do not sign Barkley or place the franchise tag on him by March 13, he will become an unrestricted free agent.

The thought of the Giants without Barkley will make fans shudder and raise eyebrows at New York sportsbooks. That is particularly true amid an NFL Network report that the Giants are feeling "buyer's remorse" about signing quarterback Daniel Jones to a long-term deal last season. Barkley, for his part, played on a one-year deal.

However, it is not believed that the Giants will franchise-tag Barkley. So, as much as it makes sense for the Giants to commit to Barkley, who they desperately need to complement whoever plays quarterback, he could be on the move in free agency.

EmpireStakes.com – your source for NY sportsbook promos – is providing hypothetical odds on the team Barkley will play for in 2024.

What's Next for Barkley?

Barkley, who just turned 27, knows this is his best chance to cash in.

Last year, in 14 games, Barkley had 962 rushing yards on 247 attempts (3.9 yards per attempt), 41 receptions for 280 yards, 10 total touchdowns (six rushing, four receiving), and 67 total first downs.

With all that said, EmpireStakes.com examined where Barkley might wind up in 2024.

EmpireStakes.com still thinks the Giants are the overwhelming favorite to keep Barkley (+120, 45.5% chance).

Other teams we see as a possibility in the hypothetical odds, in order, are the Houston Texans (+600), the Los Angeles Chargers and Chicago Bears (both +120), the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys (+1500) and the New England Patriots (+2000). The "other' category is also at +1200.

After making the playoffs in 2022, the Giants regressed to 6-11 in 2023. BetMGM NY has a grim outlook on the Giants in 2024. They are listed at +15000 to win the Super Bowl, tied with three other teams near the bottom of the 32-team league. Only the Carolina Panthers (+25000) are below them.
