Fact Checked by Pat McLoone

Houston-based Paysafe announced Thursday a partnership with Resorts WorldBET, the latest mobile New York sports betting app to launch.

Paysafe initially entered the New York market in January.

PaySafe will enable players to make deposits with Resorts WorldBET by debit card and Automatic Clearing House (ACH), plus receive payouts, which it has done for multiple New York mobile sportsbooks since the state launched on Jan. 8. Resorts World's two retail casinos are Resorts World Catskills and Resorts World New York City

Paysafe, in a news release, bills itself as a leading specialized payments platform with more than 20 years of experience and an annualized transaction volume of more than $120 billion last year.

Resorts WorldBET was the eighth of nine approved mobile sports operators in the Empire State to go live when it did so March 3.

Resorts World reported its handle for the first time last week. It notched $143 million with Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) of $177,925.

“We’re excited to partner with Resorts WorldBET, Resorts World New York's state-of-the-art mobile sports-betting app,” said Zak Cutler, CEO of North America iGaming at Paysafe, in a news release. “Given the strong correlation between payments and U.S. sportsbooks’ player acquisition, we look forward to helping Resorts WorldBET increase its customer base and revenue in 2022 and beyond.”

It will only take seconds through Paysafe for customers to bet on any March Madness game during the next two weeks or any New York professional team. Customers can use their debit card to make a mobile deposit, via iOS or Android apps.

“We’re excited to offer New Yorkers the fastest, most reliable and safest mobile sports-betting experience,” said Darlene Monzo, chief marketing officer for Genting America's East, which operates Resorts World New York. “Paysafe’s platform provides the most advanced payment processing solution, and we’re proud to have them on our team.”

Resorts WorldBET customers also can make a deposit using an ACH transfer from their bank account, using Paysafe’s connectivity, to third-party ACH warranty services, so customers are able to get real-time access to their winnings if they have a registered bank account.
