McDermott Among Best in September
The first month starts certainly have not hurt the state’s “third” team. McDermott (13-7), who begins his seventh season, ranks fifth among coaches listed with a 65% winning percentage in September. Another strong start will bolter the Bills playoff chances, of course. McDermott has posted a career record of 65-39 at Buffalo, with the last three seasons posting 13, 11 and 13 wins, respectively. The Early Road for Buffalo
Two of the Bills’ three games in September are on the road, highlighted by a season-opening Monday Night matchup at AFC East and in-state rival New York Jets Sept. 11 (ESPN, 8:15 p.m.).
