NY Sports Betting Experiences Super Bowl Bounce-Back

Super Bowl Sunday capped a big football season and a big week for mobile New York sports betting.

Nine mobile providers handled more than $424.30 million for the week ending Feb. 12, an increase of more than $93 million from the week before, as official weekly numbers were released Friday by the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC).

Since the stateā€™s historic launch on Jan. 8 last year, the number marked the 12th time overall it has gone over $400 million, including five of the last seven weeks of reporting.  
 
Mobile Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) for the week was $12 million, a decrease of more than $29.15 million from the previous week. It was the lowest number generated since more than $9.98 million was posted for the week ending Dec. 18 and the third lowest since launch (58 weeks). 
 
The state collected $6,121,839 in taxes.

Handle Increases, GGR Decreases

Seven of the nine New York sports betting apps increased handle from a week ago. The exceptions were Resorts World Bet and NY BetRivers.

Of note, DraftKings NY posted more than $150.39 million in total handle, a whopping $41.73 million increase from last week.

Here the top five producers for the week:

2: DraftKings NY ($150.39M handle, $2.9 GGR) 
3: Caesars Sportsbook NY ($58.86M handle, Minus-$1.32 million GGR) 
4: BetMGM NY ($28.48M handle, $803,206 GGR) 
5: NY BetRivers ($8.96M handle, Minus-$61,909 GGR)

Others include: PointsBet NY ($7.95M handle, $246,945 GGR); WynnBET NY ( $2.69M handle, $140,028 GGR); Resorts World Bet NY ($1.38M handle, $61,968 GGR) and Bally Bet NY ($185,750 handle, $15,044 GGR).

Since launch, four of the nine providers have collected more than $1 billion in handle:  FanDuel ($7.516 billion), DraftKings ($5.357B), Caesars ($3.111B) and BetMGM New York ($1.514B).

Since launch, New York has generated more than $18.657 billion in total handle,  $1.552 billion in GGR and Albany has collected more than $791.73 million in taxes.
