New York Sports Betting Sites Ready for College Football National Championship Showdown

By Christopher Boan

The opening weekend of Betting Apps NY not only gave bettors the chance to place wagers on the final NFL regular-season weekend, it coincides with the kickoff of one of the most bet on sporting events in America — the College Football Playoff championship game on Monday night.

Whether you’re a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide or Georgia Bulldogs, or you’re a fan of the sport in general, several operators have you covered come Monday night.

A trio of New York operators are offering promotions tied into Monday’s CFP championship game, including Caesars Sportsbook NY, DraftKings Sportsbook New York, and FanDuel Sportsbook New York.

Here’s a rundown of those deals and where you can find them in the Empire State, and you can always check out the New York sports betting promo codes page for deals:

Caesars NY Has National Championship Promos

The emperor is offering users a “Bet NCAAF, Get a Free Bet for NCAAB” deal on Monday, where New York customers that bet at least $75 on the point spread of Monday’s CFP championship game will receive a $25 free bet to use on any college basketball contest.

The offer prohibits customers from wagering on both sides of the championship contest and is subject to Caesars’ house rules.

Caesars Sportsbook New York is also offering new customers with $300 in free bets on registration, in addition to a 100% deposit match up to $3,000. The operator is also giving new customers in New York a free NBA jersey as part of its launch plan in the Empire State.

DraftKings NY With Big Offers

Elsewhere, DraftKings Sportsbook New York is offering customers a chance to double their money if either team scores a touchdown.

As part of the promotion, customers are limited to a $25 maximum wager, with the promotion being open to new and existing customers.

Additionally, DraftKings Sportsbook New York is allowing users to combine the touchdown promotion with its “Bet $5, Win $200” new customer promotion.

DraftKings Sportsbook New York’s promotion for new customers is a 20% welcome match deposit bonus worth up to $1,000.

FanDuel NY Delivers 30/1 Promo

The folks at FanDuel Sportsbook New York are offering a “CFB Championship 30/1” promotion, where new users can bet $5 and win $150 on either team to win on Monday.

The deal, which is open until kickoff on Monday, allows new FanDuel customers to take home $150 in cash, and not merely site credit. New customers must place their first real-money wager on the CFP championship to earn the money.

The promotion is only available on the company’s mobile application and replaces FanDuel’s $1,000 risk-free bet as an acquisition offer, meaning the two promotions cannot be combined.

How to Bet Monday’s Title Game

The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs enter Monday’s CFP Championship with dueling 13-1 records and similar styles of play.

Georgia’s lone loss of the year came at the hands of Nick Saban’s squad, with the Bulldogs falling to the Crimson Tide, 41-24, in the SEC Championship Game.

Alabama’s lone loss of the year came against Texas A&M on Oct. 9, when the Aggies pulled off a 41-38 victory over the Crimson Tide.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart is a Saban protege, having served as the Crimson Tide’s defensive coordinator from 2008-2015.

NY Oddsmakers Like Georgia

Oddsmakers expect Smart, who is 0-4 in his career against his former boss, to get the upper hand on Saban on Monday night. .

The folks at DraftKings Sportsbook New York have Georgia at -3 (+100) as of Monday afternoon, while FanDuel Sportsbook has the Bulldogs at -2.5 (-120).

As far as NY sports betting moneyline wagers are concerned, DraftKings Sportsbook New York and FanDuel Sportsbook New York have the Bulldogs at -140 and the Crimson Tide at +120.

Either way, New York sports bettors will have an opportunity to take home some cold hard cash, thanks to the state’s fledgling mobile sports betting marketplace, which also includes BetRivers New York.

New York had a historic start Saturday with four sportsbooks going live. And it’s only going to get better.

There are five New York sports betting apps still to launch — BetMGM NY, PointsBet New York, Bally Bet NY, Resorts World and WynnBET NY.
