BetMGM Has Prop Bets Galore for PGA Championship in Rochester
Fact Checked by Pat McLoone

The 2023 PGA Championship starts bright and early on what is expected to be a cold Thursday morning at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester. Golf's second major of the season is always an attention-grabber in the New York sports betting scene, and this year it is being played in state.

The iconic Donald Ross design, which last hosted the PGA Championship in 2013, had a complete restoration completed by Andrew Green in 2020 and will be playing as a par 70, 7,394-yard layout. The course is 250 yards longer than it was the last time it hosted the PGA Championship, and there are three new holes that will be played that weren't there a decade ago.

Last year, Justin Thomas won his second PGA Championship title by defeating Will Zalatoris in a playoff at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Okla.

This will be the fourth PGA Championship contested at Oak Hill as 99 of the world's top 100-ranked players will be in the field this week. The only one missing: Zalatoris, who is out for the remainder of the season after having back surgery earlier this year.

The last two PGAs at Oak Hill have been won by first-time major winners: Jason Dufner (2013) and Shaun Micheel (2003).
